Visiting Spain, Lanzarote

Hey! It feels like forever since I've created a post on my blog even though I've only been away for ten days. We hardly had wifi and it was so lovely to get away from everything and just relax by the pool with a glass of Baileys & ice.
Ah.. how i'm going to miss waking up to this beautiful view! First couple of days we all loved to relax and not do much haha! But we soon started travelling around and participating in activities around the area and hotel.
For one of the days we rented out two cars and decided to travel around Lanzarote, it is definitely smaller than we thought! Filled with lots of white, one-floor square shaped houses and palm trees. We found a beautiful place where you could see the whole of Lanzarote, the sea was so blue and almost looked like it is blending in with the sky from the mountain we were on. Definitely one of the most breathtaking views I've ever seen with my own eyes.
Our casual day would start with breakfast and then grabbing the sun beds before others do! Ha, Every morning you must wake up at least 7-8am to 'reserve' yourself a seat otherwise you won't get any. Us girls loved our tanning and boys would quickly get bored of it and go play tennis, golf, football etc. It was a lot of fun as the guys had three sets of Go Pro cameras, which allows you to film under water and footage looks great with it. We literally took them everywhere, filmed us jumping in the pool, under the sea and any other activities, which was lots of fun.
On one of the last days we travelled to see the volcanos around an hour journey from our hotel. If you're travelling to Lanzarote, it is a must-see! Years ago a huge area of the land was affected by volcano and is now burnt out so much no animals can live on it apart from small bugs and insects. It pretty much looked like we were on a moon, 100% worth experiencing!
Overall the whole holiday was so much fun, day time we would do as much as possible and night time go out to bars, clubs and karaoke bars which never failed to be entertain us ha!

Hope you enjoyed flicking through some of the photos!
So.. where are you going this summer? ;)

Love, Skai x
