Today I was helping out at the studio capturing behind the scenes of the shoot for Coast, Bloomingdales. It was fascinating to see how a group of people that are talented in different pathways inspire each other. Including photographers, make up artists, stylists and many more who were working on the same project/shoot.
Graphic designers and editors working on the photographs as soon as these were taken.
Inspiration board for the current shoot for selected colours and styles. Today 'Red and Black' was the main focus.
Inspiration mood board looking into models, hair styles and make up.
Stylist were constantly making sure that each outfit was looking the way they planned it. Confirming certain poses and movements of the model.
Make up palettes that were used for the model.
Outfits were hung in order for the model to change into, most sizes were 10 or 12 for size 8 models, due to the height of the model they seemed to fit better. If needed, the stylist would pin some parts of the clothing to get the the perfect silhouette and fit.
It was incredible how the photographs were taken and re-directed straight onto the editors screens who then developed these photographs on various programs assuring the right lighting and colours were projected. Once the process of editing and developing of the photographs is done, they are then sent to another team of specialists. These are then used on company's website, look books and many other promotional sources.
